2022: Acceptance

If you read my 2021 Reflections, you’ll know that it was a bear of a year. And while I certainly gained acceptance as a result and hope for sunnier skies in 2022, the word “acceptance” still seems appropriate for this year.

While I expect more joy in 2022, I would like to maintain the acceptance for what is that I developed as a result of last year’s curveballs. So my word for 2022 will be more of an ulterior theme than in other years.

Here’s how I’m planning for joy:

• Book a weekend trip with Shelby to York, Maine in March.

• Visit Mystic, CT in the summer.

• Book a weekend trip to Old Orchard Beach, Maine with Shelby in September.

• Begin planning a weeklong trip for 2023! Shelby and I are feeling Disney World and or Hawaii…

• Continue to spend time with a friend or family member at least once per week.

• Continue enjoying a zen session of reiki, massage, facial, etc. at least once a month.

• Get outside at least three times per week.

• Meditate at least three times per week.

• Finish crocheting my cupcake Halloween costume and wear it!

Now for some life goals:

• Continue practicing German everyday, and make it through Unit 5 on Duolingo by the end of the year.

• Read 44 books.

• Get my credit score above 830. This is SUPER ambitious since last year’s family emergencies weren’t nice to my credit, but I think I can do it.

• Pay off credit cards. This will help with my credit score!

• Contribute the max to my Roth IRA and HSA, as well as double my SEP contribution.

• Make my own cat food to help my cats live a long and healthy life.

• Work on intuitive eating and get back to a size 6. I set this goal every year, so we’ll see how it goes! This time around I’m focusing on habits I’ll keep even when I drop to my desired size, not implementing some crazy dieting or exercise regime. I want to live now like I’ll live when I can fit into my favorite pair of jeans again.

• Sift through all of my digital files- delete and organize!

Now for some concrete business goals:

• Finish updating Marketing 101.

• Update Digital Photography 101.

• Update Facebook Facelift, Instagram Insight, and Create With Canva.

• Earn at least 90% of my income from online courses and my membership.

• Increase my followers and subscribers to the following…
YouTube: 3,000+
Instagram: 5,000+
Facebook: 3,000+
Flodesk (e-newsletter): 3,000+
Pinterest: 550
Twitter: 100
LinkedIn: 50
