2021: Explore

Shelby and I have been getting outside more, our main go-to being the Dells here in Littleton. It’s a little nature trail that I never thought much of, but there’s actually a lot of paths to take and it looks so magical in the snow.

On our walk today, we came upon a new path we’d never gone down before. Shelby asked if I wanted to go, and I replied, “Yes! Let’s explore.”

Then it occurred to me that explore is the perfect word for 2021!

HERE IS HOW I PLAN TO EXPLORE IN 2021…

• Get outside more with Shelby and explore new trails.

• Explore new places! Local and - hopefully - afar.

• Try new recipes with a focus on cooking. I LOVE to bake, but it’s better for me to eat cooking than baking hahaha.

• Pursue new business ideas. Shelby and I have many, and we’re hoping to implement a few this year.

Now for some concrete life goals:

• Continue to spend time with a friend or family member at least once per week.

• Continue enjoying a zen session of reiki, massage, facial, etc. at least once a month.

• Get outside at least three times per week.

• Meditate at least three times per week.

• Work on learning a new language at least three times per week. I’d love to be able to speak French, German, and Spanish, but I’m going to start with German so I can understand Oma when she breaks into her native language.

• Read 33 books.

• Get my credit score above 830. (I know it dropped below 800 after we bought our car, and I haven’t wanted to look!)

• Pay off the car and all of our non-mortgage debt.

• Contribute the max to my Roth IRA and open a SEP IRA.

• Work on intuitive eating and get back to a size 6. I set this goal every year, so we’ll see how it goes! This time around I’m focusing on habits I’ll keep even when I drop to my desired size, not implementing some crazy dieting or exercise regime. I want to live now like I’ll live when I can fit into my favorite pair of jeans again.

Now for some concrete business goals:

• Grow my email list to 25,000 subscribers.

• Increase my Instagram followers to 25,000+.

• Increase my Facebook page likes to 10,000+.

• Earn at least 80% of my income from online courses.

• Book two branding photo shoots. It’s so hard for me to get in front of the camera, but I know it’s essential for my type of business.

I’m also breaking these larger goals into monthly goals so I have something less overwhelming to shoot for. I keep these monthly goals in the Notes app on my phone and will try to write them down daily.

Cheers to 2021!
